Below, see how to generate .CSV files In the pipeline, place the mouse over the avatar icon in the upper right corner. Click on “Adjustments.”
Second, go to the “Account” column and click on “Imports”. There you will have the template for each category you want to put into PipeRun.
O:
After downloading a template, open the spreadsheet and fill in the information with the data you want to import.
In case, as you already have the information from Pipedrive, you can copy and paste the data into the fields of the new spreadsheet.
It is crucial that the first row of the spreadsheet is kept with the original header, without any changes. Thus, from line 2 on, fill in the desired data.
Ah, a detail. In the first column, the email you want to have as the owner of the opportunity must be kept.
This is a crucial step. After all, that’s the only way you can switch from CRM and start having a positive experience within PipeRun.
3 – Save your data
After filling out the spreadsheet with the required format, it’s time to save it to keep the data intact. In the option “save as” generate a .CSV file from this spreadsheet.
To achieve this from an .XLS spreadsheet, use MS Excel or similar. Once this is done, with the spreadsheet open, click on “Save As”. So change the file type to CSV (comma separated).
Don’t forget to make sure it’s in Unicode UTF-8 format. But you can also upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google spreadsheets.
To save in .CSV go to “File” > “Download” > “Comma Separated Values (.CSV, current page) and you’re done!
4 – Time to import
Soon after, you access the PipeRun imports area again. Only now you will click on the option “Import Data into CSV”.
Then click on the alternative for the data you want to import. Remember what they are?
- Opportunities;
- Companies;
- People;
- Products;
- Activities;
- Loss reasons, users or regions.
Finally, one by one until they are all imported.
5 – Organize your process within PipeRun
Afterwards, choose the configuration options according to your needs. Define the pipeline and steps for the target funnel. Select validation criteria for duplicate data.
Ah, if you need it later, use the deduplicator to merge data. Finally, click on “Process Data”.
This will cause the system to request confirmation for processing.
For example, PipeRun will display a brief summary on the screen indicating the opportunities created, updated and any errors during the import.
Finally, go back to the account funnel and there will be the opportunity created.
Bonus: a useful tip
For the import of Companies, People, Products, Activities, Reasons for Loss, Users or Regions, the procedure is the same.
Note which fields are required in each import spreadsheet:
- Opportunities: email from the owner of the opportunity;
- Companies: trade name;
- People: full name;
- Products: product name;
- Activities: title;
- Reasons for loss: description of reasons for loss;
