About the project

HandyWi is developed and maintained by UAB TeleSoftas, mobile solutions company from Lithuania. This project has evolved from the idea of having transparent mechanism for delivering location based info-services to the users on the move, over WiFi/WiMAX/UMTS/GPRS. With the number of mobile device sales increasing every day and having in mind the fact people need information right where they are, this idea has a huge success potential.

However, there are many problems to overcome on the way, with public WiFi in particular. This project is addressing the need for effortless WLAN connectivity with any hotspot public, or security enabled. Dealing with such issues as cumbersome ways of accessing public WLAN hotspots and universal way of presenting targeted information, content and services on mobile devices.
